Block Practice and Warm-Ups for City Meet
Good Evening,
I cannot believe we are one day out to City Meet. It has been a fun and exciting season. A special thank you to Ali Schug, Casey Alford, Nina Putt, Alex Hunter, Sydney Prince and Tara Pitcher AND all the parent and swimmer volunteers for making this an amazing season. The magic cannot happen without you!
Block Practice is tomorrow morning at Huntsville Aquatic Center. Please meet in the lobby at 8:40am. We will get in the water from 9am to 9:55am. Then we will practice getting back and forth from the tent with our shoes and figure out where to drop/pick them up. The swimmers will then have time to shower and change before we meet at The Back 40 at 11am for lunch with the team.
City Meet's Saturday Morning warm-up starts at 7:15am. Please get there early because parking can be very problematic. We will meet in the Tent before every warm-up! Saturday Afternoon warm-ups are at 11:45am. Again, morning group will be leaving so get there early to park. Sunday we start warm-ups at 7:45am for morning group and at 12:15pm for afternoon. Parking is not as bad on Sunday, but you still want to be there a bit early. Snacks and drinks for the cooler need to be individually wrapped so they can withstand the elements. Bring them to add to the cooler at the beginning of your swimmer's session.
I have also attached the list of events so you can approximate when your swimmer will be swimming. They usually run behind, but this gives you an idea. Also, coaches relays and parent relays will be on Sunday after event 61.
Awards will be at the end of the swims on Sunday. If you can, try and come back to the pool (I will send a Remind when we are about 1 hour out) and join our team for the celebration. We will then head to Stovehouse following awards for dinner.
Please be looking in your email for information about the Banquet. It will be Thursday July 18th at 6pm. We will be sending a form for you to fill out to confirm attendance and buy food tickets.
Yall have a great night and get some rest!
Coach Jennifer
